About Xomnia
Xomnia is a leading Data, Analytics, Cloud and AI partner in
the Netherlands. Xomnia supports organisations in
designing, building and maintaining modern data platforms, developing and
deploying machine learning and AI models, and advising on data strategy and
implementation.
Its broad client portfolio includes both corporates and (semi-)public
organisations across a wide range of sectors, including Finance, FMCG, Trading & Distribution, Utilities and Healthcare. Xomnia maintains long-term partnerships
with clients such as Ahold, VodafoneZiggo, Alliander and Rabobank.
The team consists of approximately 140
passionate professionals representing around 20 nationalities, including approximately 110 technical consultants and 30 staff members. Xomnia's consultants are top-tier talents; the team is relatively young
(average age around 30) and typically brings several years of relevant work
experience combined with a technical, university-level (STEM)
background.
Xomnia is headquartered in the centre of
Amsterdam. What started as a small office has grown into the Xomnia House: a central hub where collaboration, knowledge sharing and culture come
together.
Tagline & Culture
Xomnia's tagline is "We make AI work." This reflects the company's
commitment to helping clients develop, build and maintain data and AI solutions
that deliver tangible, real-world value.
Xomnia's consultants are highly intelligent
professionals with deep expertise and strong interpersonal skills. They are
brought together to act as a challenger to clients, co-creating solutions that push boundaries. The way of
working is characterised by agility and knowledge sharing, with openness to new ideas and close collaboration with clients as
core principles.
The culture is defined by strong team spirit and a shared drive to
create impact by solving meaningful data-driven challenges for clients.
Interaction within the organisation is informal, approachable and open.
It is an environment where people feel safe to make mistakes, challenge one
another constructively and learn together.
Both inside and outside the office, the team regularly organises social
activities such as informal gatherings, boat trips on Xomnia's own boat and other (international)
trips.
Context
Xomnia was founded more than 13 years ago by Ollie Dapper and William
van Lith. The company started with an initial software proposition focused on data and web scraping. Driven by client demand, Xomnia subsequently evolved into the leading high-end Data & AI boutique it is today.
In recent years, Xomnia has experienced rapid growth and has received multiple Gazelle Awards. In addition, Xomnia was recently selected by consultancy.nl in the Platinum category of Dutch Data & AI consulting firms.
In 2022, the founders decided to step back from day-to-day operations and appointed the current CEO. Under his leadership, the organisation entered a new phase of professionalisation.
In 2023, Xomnia entered into a partnership with Foreman Capital. The arrival of the new majority shareholder provides both a strong foundation and fresh strategic perspectives. The coming years will focus on continued growth, both organically and through a buy-and-build strategy.
Recent developments
Xomnia is transitioning from a founder-driven, entrepreneurial staffing scale-up to the leading Data & AI consulting partner
in the Netherlands: a professionally structured, high-end consulting firm.
This transition entails a shift in the business model from primarily staffing to project-based
delivery, recurring consulting, deeper client relationships and high-level advisory services. This requires further development of the proposition, strong delivery governance and increased commercial maturity across the organisation and its people.
Position | CEO
For the next growth phase, Xomnia
is looking for a CEO who can enable and realise growth. The CEO will develop a clear vision,
strengthen external positioning, and create commercial maturity, focus and
execution power together with the team.
This leader brings natural presence and
charisma, energises others and represents the DNA of Xomnia
externally. The CEO actively shapes the company's external positioning and
feels comfortable speaking on stage, engaging with the press, and representing Xomnia
at client and market events.
The ideal CEO has a sharp sense of where
the market is heading and a genuine passion for data and technology. While not
necessarily a data scientist, he or she understands the technological context
sufficiently to engage meaningfully with deeply technical teams and highly
analytical professionals.
Xomnia
is looking for a connecting leader, not a traditional, corporate leadership
profile.
